Labour Ministry launches SkillsConnect App to connect skilled workers with jobs

The Ministry of Labour today unveiled its SkillsConnect app, a new platform designed to connect skilled workers across the country with jobs.
Designed by the National Data Management Authority (NDMA), the app allows job seekers to browse available jobs while employers (companies or individuals) can advertise the skills they are seeking such as plumbing or electrical services.
The app allows for direct communication between employers and job seekers and even caters to communication in English and Spanish.
Additionally, the app allows users to rate their satisfaction after the job is completed, helping future users make informed decisions.
At the launching ceremony, Labour Minister Joseph Hamilton highlighted that this app will complement the ministry’s job bank – which connects job seekers with long-term employment opportunities.
