The Chrysler Foundation Donates $100,000 to Support Humanitarian Relief and Recovery Efforts in Haiti

 AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ — The Chrysler Foundation gives $50,000 each to Oxfam America and the United States Fund for UNICEF to assist with life-saving and recovery operations in Haiti

  • Chrysler Group LLC dealers in Puerto Rico are accepting household and non-perishable food items
  • Chrysler Group continues to support Haiti relief efforts through initiatives with its employees, dealers and retirees 

The Chrysler Foundation has donated $50,000 to both Oxfam America and the United States Fund for UNICEF to support their earthquake relief and recovery efforts for the residents of Haiti. The Company also continues to support Haiti relief efforts through initiatives with its employees, dealers and retirees.

 Chrysler Group LLC is participating in a series of other initiatives supporting Haiti relief efforts including:

  • In Puerto Rico, Chrysler Group LLC dealerships have established on-site collection centers where residents may donate household and non-perishable food items.
  • In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, the Company organized a series of volunteer activities for employees in the Detroit and Toledo regions. In addition to benefiting the local communities where Chrysler Group facilities are located, the Martin Luther King Jr. service project conducted at Michigan-based World Medical Relief on Wednesday, Jan. 20, will benefit Haitian relief efforts by providing donated medical supplies.

 The Chrysler Foundation will also collect donation checks from Chrysler Group employees, dealers and retirees who are interested in contributing to Oxfam or UNICEF, allowing the Company’s extended organization to stand together in its support of Haiti relief efforts.
